Opsoclonus Myoclonus Due to Phenytoin Toxicity

ABSTRACT

Phenytoin is one of the oldest and commonest antiepileptic drugs used in our country.  It is known for its toxicity as neurological and cardiac manifestations. Opsoclonus myoclonus syndrome due to phenytoin toxicity is a rare incidence. We report a case of phenytoin toxicity in 18 year female patient who was taking phenytoin for symptomatic generalized tonic clonic seizures 1month back who now presented with opsoclonus, myoclonus and truncal ataxia.
